Dress Rehearsal and Recital at Kickapoo High School Performing Arts Center!

Date/Times: Saturday, May 12, 2018. Dress Rehearsal 10am, Return 5pm, Recital 5:30pm, After-Party 7:30pm

Location: Kickapoo High School Performing Arts Center, 3710 S. Jefferson Ave., Springfield, MO 65807

DRESS REHEARSAL: 10:00am-1:00pm Saturday, May 12, 2018 at the Kickapoo H.S. Performing Arts Center. Please bring yourselves and all belongings into the auditorium and have a seat for orientation when we will explain dressing room assignments, 1st half/2nd half performers, intermission switch, and the post-show-opener flow of dancers into the audience or backstage. Children need to be seated with their families at all times, not running on stage or around the auditorium.

10am all families must be seated in the auditorium with dancers dressed in costume and ready for orientation and to practice our show-opener, “This Is Me.” If not able to come fully dressed in costume, ARRIVE EARLIER to be stage-ready by 10am! Hair and makeup can be done at home PRIOR TO arrival. After your dancers practice the show opener, they will practice their class’ dances in the show order below. Most dancers will not need to be present the whole time and may leave right after their class’ final dances are practiced on stage.

Classes will have designated waiting areas so they may be easily retrieved by Dance Mission staff when needed for their times on stage. Look for signs posted on walls to find your dance classes’ area. During their performance half of the show, please do not take them into audience; they may miss their stage-time. Staff will NOT retrieve dancers from audience.

Water fountains are around, but you may also bring dry/non-messy snacks, water, and activities to keep children entertained while they wait for their time on stage. Please do not bring anything near costumes that could spill or stain. Seats for recital cannot be reserved at dress rehearsal.
