Sarah Sparks, Piano Instructor Sarah has played the piano for nearly ten years. Within that time, she's competed and received superior ratings in the National Federation of Music Clubs, and she placed second in the state competition for Missouri Music Teachers Association. She also received an honorable mention in Springfield Area Music Teachers Association's Beverly Roper Young Artist Competition. She enjoys composing, arranging, and perfecting pieces for competitions, performances, and just for fun!  In teaching, she believes that rhythm and audiation are the keys to successful playing. Her goal in teaching piano students is to implement an approach where instead of reading notes mechanically, pianists also understand music beyond a sheet of notes and rests. Once students can feel the music, they will be able to perform and compose beautifully. Sarah looks forward to helping piano students at Dance Mission prosper.
