Dress rehearsals are not open for parents to watch, so parents will drop-off performers completely “PERFORMANCE-READY”* at the Gillioz Theatre stage with staff for dress rehearsals. Staff will supervise performers throughout the events. Parents not permitted backstage to reduce crowding. Staff will help students backstage with any quick-changes. Changing tents and bathrooms are accessible to performers backstage. Performers will remain backstage with staff until all routines in their shows have finished. Afterwards, staff will dismiss all performers from the stage in as orderly fashion one class at a time back to parents.

*Dancers’ “PERFORMANCE-READY” Attire for Dress Rehearsals and Recitals:

1. Costume on w/included headpiece, if applicable. (NO OTHER JEWELRY OR ACCESSORIES and NO GUM!)

2. Tights/Undergarments— Tan colored tights (FOOTED for classses wearing dance shoes or CONVERTIBLE/FOOTLESS for classes needing barefeet, like Acro, Aerial, Cheer, and Dancenastics). Tights required for everyone, except optional for hip hop classes and boys. Tan cami-leotards worn under costumes are optional and recommended to help our dancers feel more covered and comfortable and to aid in costume quick-changes for some of our busiest dancers.

3. Dance shoes—

· Combo classes need black tap shoes on, THEN pink/tan ballet shoes. Drop off bags w/ballet shoes backstage with staff.

· Acro, Aerial Silks, Cheer, and Dancenastics classes need bare feet.

· Ballet and Lyrical classes need pink/tan ballet slippers or half-shoes.

. Pre-pointe and Pointe classes need pink/tan ballet slippers or pointe shoes if en pointe.

· Hip Hop, Jazz, and Jazz Poms classes need black jazz shoes.

. Clogging and Tap/Jazz classes need black tap shoes.

4. Makeup (Not required; only optional*)— Black mascara. Dark brown eyebrow shade/pencil. In the crease above eyelids, apply a brown eyeshadow; brown metallic shades work well for all skin tones. Apply a light ivory metallic eyeshadow on the eyelids and under browbones. On the cheeks, apply a light-medium pink blush for lighter skin tones, or medium pink-bronze blush for darker skin tones. Berry/mauve lipstick works well with all skin tones. *Makeup is optional and only suggested to help avoid facial expressions from being washed out by bright stage lights.

5. Hair/Accessories— All classes, except for hip hop, need a BUN in the back middle of the head. (HAIRNETS ON BUNS & BOBBY PINS ARE HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!). If applicable, clip hair accessories beside bun on THEIR left. Hip Hop classes need ponytail in the middle back of the head and BOBBY PIN HEADBANDS AND OTHER HAIR ACCESSORIES SECURELY TO HAIR!

TICKETS: Tickets go on sale online at the links provided beginning in mid-April. Please make sure you use your dancers’ correct specific ticket link as there are THREE DIFFERENT SHOWS with separate ticketing links. Please make sure and double check you are purchasing tickets to YOUR CORRECT SHOW (A, B, or C)! For ticketing, families will purchase your own seats online yourselves. There is no limit on how many tickets you can purchase. Please feel free to send the ticket links directly to your family and friends. Please do NOT share ticket links on social media so dance families and friends will get the best seat options first before the general public. Ticket cost is $8 per person (babies also need tickets even if sitting on laps due to Gillioz Theatre policy). Performers do not need tickets UNLESS attending as an audience member for a different show in which they’re not performing, in which case they will need a ticket to sit in the audience.

All recitals will be professionally videoed by Pulse Studios, Inc., and links will be provided online to download and share with family and friends at no additional cost!
